The Board of Directors of the Calaveras Public Utility District (the “District”) is required by the California State Water Resources Control Board to be responsible for the protection of the public potable water distribution system from contamination or pollution due to the backflow of contaminants or pollutants through the water service connection.  Following public hearings on May 20, 2025 and June 17, 2025, the Board of Directors adopted Ordinance 25-01 to reflect the current “Standards and Principals for California’s Public Water Systems-(PWS)”, which apply to all California public water systems as defined in California’s Health and Safety Code (CHSC, section 116275 (h)).
